Friday Favorites week 3!

friday favorites lighter

Well guys, it took me a whole week to post one blog post this week. We had a bit of a doozy over here at the clubhouse.

Meanwhile, I’m going to heavy-plug-humble-brag on my friend (cousin, doula, go-to-gal) Angela right now. In fact, she is going to be my ONLY friday favorite this week and here is why.

She wrote her first cookbook!!!!
From France to the Farm: Blending Generational Favorites with French Flair

She’s amazing people.

She has 5 little kids (plus one on the way!!! YAY!!!!), home schools, raises goats, chickens, bunnies, writes over at, runs an entire essential oils business and wrote an amazing book, From France to the Farm. It makes me feel like a total loser, if I think about it too long.

I stole this sneak peek from her instagram, because I’m giddy.

Listen, Angela’s photography is rich, deep, and completely transports you into a different world. There are 85 recipes and 200 photographs! 200 perfectly shot, edited and placed photographs. This book is meant to catch puffs of flour and salt on the pages, but to be honest, you’ll probably find yourself curled up on the couch with a glass of wine paging through it like a riveting novel while you drool on yourself. The narration and story telling tone is coupled perfectly with her farmhouse roots and perfectly contrasted by her french cuisine.

I’ve been watching her stand at that computer and pour her soul out. Each minute detail was in her head before she even preheated the oven. This book is exactly what she envisioned and it’s finally ready to be in your hands. Her blood, sweat, tears, and tears of her children (they couldn’t eat the amazing food until the photo was taken!) are all in these pages.

This would be the perfect gift to a bride-to-be who wants to know farmhouse cooking 101. It covers basics, like stocks and cooking with copper and some inspirational words on her family’s call to homesteading. It would be an even better gift for the absolute FOODIE on your list this year. These pictures are mouth watering, her recipes are creative and inspiring, and the farmhouse chic staging is enough to make you swing from the chandelier. I mean, pick one, she has at least one in every room.

I know I’m really laying it on thick, but my words are still failing to express how romantic and sultry and simple and sweet this book is. I’m so proud of her. She is doing a grassroots push to hit the Amazon best seller list TODAY. She needs to sell 500 copies today to make the list and I think she can do it. This book will deliver on it’s promises, and I can’t wait for you to get your hands on it! Wait until you see the final page and the back cover…’s just gorgeous.

So first, order your copy, and some for your friends, and then please share this post with someone who will love it as much as you to spread the love!
